Advent Tree

The Elementary Grades 1-6 are preparing the Christmas Tree through the weeks of Advent. Each week the tree is adorned with symbols that help prepare ourselves for the Coming of Jesus Christ. Please note that our classes prepare for the upcoming Sunday. Place your cursor over the picture to read the captions and prayers. Grade 2 October 5

Today's special project focused on the Feast of the Guardian Angels which was October 2. Everyone has a Guardian Angel. You should name your guardian angel and pray with your angel.
In class, we made Guardian Angels from paper plates. For our homeschool students, you can find the tem"plate" angel to finish at home on the table in the Religious Ed office.

Other things you can do at home on this day or in celebration of your guardian angel any day are:
-Bake an angel food cake.
-Say the Angel Prayer: Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here, ever this day (or night), be at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
